Exit to Excellence Launches Founder Observatory Newsroom to Track the Risks Traditional Exit Planning Leaves Unmeasured
New research and media hub gives founders, advisors, and journalists a permanent source for evidence and commentary on the human side of business exits.
GREENSBORO, N.C. — July 22, 2026 — Exit to Excellence today announced the launch of the Founder Observatory Newsroom, a permanent public home for research, commentary, frameworks, and meaningful company announcements focused on what business exits change for the founder—not only what they produce at closing.
Founders can enter an exit surrounded by capable transaction advisors and still reach the other side unprepared for changes to identity, relationships, purpose, daily structure, and significance. The Founder Observatory was created to study those risks, give them a common language, and turn emerging patterns into practical intelligence for founders and the professionals who serve them.
The newsroom opens with a defined research mandate, an active library of founder-transition commentary, media resources, and access to the Exit Risk Assessment. Its evidence infrastructure currently includes a verified YouTube corpus of 311 active source records, 310 transcript-backed videos, and 250.21 hours of material. Those figures describe the current verified YouTube corpus; they do not represent the full future research corpus or a claim that every automated record has completed human validation.
“An exit can be financially complete and personally unfinished,” said Jerome Myers, founder of Exit to Excellence and the Founder Observatory. “The Founder Observatory exists to study the risks traditional exit planning leaves unmeasured, so founders can see them before the transaction makes them expensive.”
The newsroom will preserve meaningful press releases as a core output while separating genuine news from routine activity. Research announcements, major product launches, consequential partnerships, verified milestones, and defensible founder evidence must clear the Observatory’s publication standard before release.
Founders can explore the newsroom at https://www.exittoexcellence.com/newsroom and examine their own exposure through the Exit Risk Assessment at https://www.exittoexcellence.com/era.
About the Founder Observatory
The Founder Observatory is the research and intelligence arm of Exit to Excellence. It identifies and examines the business, financial, personal, and identity risks that conventional transaction planning often leaves unmeasured—including Reciprocal Reliance between founder and enterprise, the Transaction Illusion, and the Founder’s Exit Paradox. Drawing on founder interviews, assessment data, advisory experience, and longitudinal evidence, the Observatory powers the Exit Risk Assessment and publishes research, frameworks, commentary, and meaningful press releases designed to help founders protect enterprise value, reduce transition risk, and build a life worth exiting into.
